I am a visionary leader fueled by a relentless passion for exploration, process, and a commitment to shaping the future of design and branding.
With a blink, 23 years of both life and design have passed. My design journey is anything but conventional, but that allows me to offer a unique perspective that enriches every design challenge encountered.
Following my graduation from Iowa State University I started out my career at two design firms in Phoenix, Arizona. Serving clients ranging from local businesses to enterprises such as Banner Health, Honeywell, and the City of Mesa. I honed my skills at print design, learned choosing paper is important, and properly press checking files is a critical skill. I shared my knowledge, guiding team members in website development and emphasizing the critical role of user experience.
Driven by a hunger for entrepreneurship, I took a leap of faith and established my own design firm. Over the span of 11 years, I built a diverse clientele spanning B2B and B2C businesses. My team created brands for many new businesses and followed existing brand guidelines for clients like the City of Gilbert, Telesphere, eBay, and Infusionsoft. The pace was often fast but it never mattered because we loved the work. We built websites (even one for the United Nations), helped people with signage and tradeshow displays and had great vendor partners who helped us succeed. The firm came to an end because Vonage made me a fantastic offer.
Our customer Telesphere was acquired by Vonage a year or so before. I was offered the opportunity to build an in-house creative team for the company. I have overseen all marketing creative and event design for the last 8.5 years, ultimately rising to the role of Director of Creative and Design.
In my tenure at Vonage, I became deeply entrenched in the company’s brand evolution, navigating through acquisitions and steering the brand away from its legacy as a residential phone provider. My journey shows a commitment to maintaining brand integrity, and an unyielding drive to push the brand and business forward into the future.
